About RecursionSplash
Simple ideas. Games with staying power.
RecursionSplash is an independent game studio making free PC games that are easy to pick up and rewarding to stick with.
We started in 2024 with Pixel Flip, an endless card-matching game built around quick rounds and a growing pixel-art collection. In 2026 we released Community Button, a worldwide idle game where every player pushes the same total higher.
They are different games, but they come from the same approach: start with one clear idea, make every action feel useful, and add enough depth to keep the game interesting after the first session.
We develop and publish both games ourselves. We also run the online services behind them, so support, updates and technical decisions stay with the people making the games.
How we work
What matters when we make a game
These choices shape both games and how we support them after release.
One clear idea
A game should make sense before it asks for your time. We start with a mechanic that is easy to understand, then build outward from it.
Depth without clutter
We add choices, goals and progression when they make the core game better, not just to fill another menu.
Short sessions still count
Five minutes should move you forward. Longer sessions should give you more to discover, not more chores to clear.
Clear about the deal
Our current games are free to play. Prices, rewards and odds should be explained in plain language.
Updates you can follow
Patch notes say what changed and why. If something breaks, we acknowledge it and work on the fix.
Close to the work
We develop, publish and operate our games ourselves. The people making them stay close to support and live issues.
